INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING PROCEDURES/POLICY

Thank you for your interest in Oglesby's products.

The following information is provided to help you understand the procedures necessary to purchase product from our laboratory and/or greenhouse. As we speculate little or no production, these procedures have proven very successful in servicing growers world-wide.

It is a firm policy of Oglesby Plants International not to make any international shipments without advanced payment, unless a customer has received product(s) on regular standing order and has been granted credit under the terms and conditions of Oglesby's standard credit application. All companies doing business with Oglesby under credit terms must have a signed credit application on file and account activity no less than every 120 days.

All inquiries (e-mail, faxes, letters, calls) for stage II, III or IV products will be answered promptly and as accurately as possible. Please understand that pending plant variety, stage and quantity requested, payment (including freight expenses) will be required prior to order processing - 45 to 60 days before shipment. (Terms and Conditions) Usually, it is a good idea if not required to mail or fax an import permit well ahead of designated shipping time.

IMPORTANT: If an import permit is required, it must be in English or be accompanied by an official English translation. If a third party provides the translation, it must be of the entire permit and certified/notarized via some public authorized Agent, i.e., Notary Public.

Due to varied laboratory cut cycles, changing availabilities and unexpected production adjustments, your inquiry can best be answered if the following information is provided:

  • Your company's name, billing and shipping address, voice and fax phone numbers and e-mail address if available. Please specify a main and alternate contact person.

  • Clearly state variety, quantity and stage of material desired. Minimum order quantities vary depending on plant variety: 900 to 1,200 for stage II or stage III microcuttings and four (4) trays for stage IV liners. Less than minimum quantity orders are subject to a 15% surcharge. Due to the possibility of air-borne contamination occurring during transit, we discourage stage III orders and accept no responsibility for quarantine rejection on arrival.

  • Please specify your nearest port of entry. We will have all shipping arrangements made by our freight forwarder unless you specify another agent. We highly recommend our agent since they are very familiar with the necessary requirements for expediting tissue cultured plants. However, if you have a relationship with other agents, please specify. We will make every effort to send your entire order in one shipment to minimize freight expenses. However, due to the nature of our products, multiple shipments may be necessary. You will be notified in advance if two or more shipment are needed to fill your order.

Unless credit has been established, each order will be represented by a proforma invoice which will reflect shipping month, payment due date and exact directions for payment (wire transfer, credit card, or check drawn on USA bank). Product availability is held and orders are confirmed provided payment is received by indicated payment performance date. Careful attention should be given to wire transfer directions as any deviations often create unnecessary delays. Normally, seven (7) working days are needed to complete most currency transfers.

See following sample proforma invoice.

Please review our Terms and Conditions for additional information.

We look forward to servicing your plant needs.
